APAT is a grass-roots poker body and is Europe’s largest organizer of multi-table tournaments. Since it began over four years ago in 2006, APAT has continued to grow steadily will host over 28 tournaments in the UK and another three in Europe before the year is out. It offers affordable buy-ins to quite high profile events. Betfair sponsor the events and also host only events on behalf of APAT. Later in the year in August there will be the World Championships of Amateur Poker, a five day poker festival at the DTD Poker Club in Nottingham. You need to be a member of APAT to participate in the events, however, membership is free and open to anyone. For live APAT events, satellites are offered at $22, $11 (both freezeouts) and $5.50 (rebuy). For online APAT events, satellites are offered at $11 (freezeout) and $5.50 (rebuy). There are generally about 120 to 200 seats at each event, however, it depends of where it is being held. I suggest you go check it out on the Betfair site.
